BPC-157 for dogs: what does the evidence actually show?
One published study measured how BPC-157 moved through and was eliminated from beagle dogs. It did not test whether BPC-157 treats an injury or disease in pet dogs.
What is known
A pharmacokinetic study in six beagle dogs reported absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion after intravenous and intramuscular administration. Pharmacokinetic data describe what the body does to a substance; they do not establish clinical benefit.
Is there an established BPC-157 dose for dogs?
Reliable clinical efficacy, an established companion-animal safety profile and a validated veterinary dose were not demonstrated by that study. PeptiVet Labs does not provide a dosing recommendation.
Why product quality matters
The US FDA has separately flagged potential immunogenicity, peptide-related impurities and limited safety information for compounded human BPC-157 products. That is not a veterinary approval decision, but it is a relevant warning against treating online availability as proof of quality or safety.
What pet owners should do
Do not give a pet a human prescription, compounded product or research-labelled vial. Discuss the animal, diagnosis and authorised alternatives with a veterinarian who can examine the patient when needed.
